The Meltdown Toolkit — 120 Printable Pages to Help Kids Ride Out Big Feelings (Ages 3–10)
The floor.
You know the exact spot. Between the kitchen island and the hallway, where it always happens. They're on it. You're standing over them running out of words, and some quiet part of you is doing the maths on how long until this one burns out.
You've tried the counting. You've tried the calm voice. You've tried the not-calm voice, and then felt awful about it for the rest of the night.
Here's what nobody tells you.
A meltdown is not a negotiation. Past a certain point, reasoning stops being reachable — the alarm system is running things and explanations bounce off. Asking a child to "use their words" in that moment is like asking someone to read while they're underwater.
Which means the thing that works isn't a strategy. It's a script — something you say the same way every time, until their body learns the shape of it and starts coming down before you've finished the sentence.
That's what this is. Not theory. Scripts, cards and pages you print once and reach for a hundred times.
Sorted by stage, which is why it works.
Settled — they can listen, reason and wait. Teaching, rules and consequences all land here.
Building — voice up, body tight, everything is no. A short window, and most of us miss it. Two options, movement, a snack, dropping the demand.
Over — words bounce off. Only presence, safety and time work. Nothing else.
Almost every piece of advice you've been given is a settled-stage tool. That's why it keeps failing at the exact moment you need it most.
📦 What's inside — 120 pages

❓ Questions you might have
My child can't read yet. Roughly half the pages are picture-only by design. The feelings wheel and every strategy card work for a pre-reader.
Do I need special supplies? A printer, paper, and something to colour with. Card stock and a laminator are nice, not required — every page is designed to stay legible in black and white.
Is this a programme I have to follow? No. There's no day 1 to day 30 and nothing unlocks. Print what you need, when a week calls for it.
Is this therapy? No. These are practice materials built on ideas a child therapist would recognise, and plenty of families use them between sessions. If your child's behaviour is stopping them eating, sleeping or attending school, please talk to your paediatrician — this doesn't replace that.
What format is it? PDF, in both US Letter and A4, black-and-white friendly so it prints clean on any home printer.
Can I use it with a whole classroom? This licence covers one family or one classroom. For a whole school site, clinic or group practice, see the CheerKore Practitioner Licence.
What if it doesn't help? Email hello@cheerkore.com within 90 days and we'll refund you. You keep the files.
Give them somewhere to put it.
Your child isn't giving you a hard time. They're having one, and nobody has handed them the tools yet. Print the first page in two minutes.
This is a digital download. Nothing physical will be shipped. You'll receive a download link by email immediately after checkout.
